You believe that minimizing state intervention will lead to increased individual freedom, personal responsibility, and economic prosperity.
The "Small Government" political ideology is a principle that advocates for minimized government intervention in the affairs of individuals and society. This ideology is rooted in the belief that the government's role should be limited to providing only the essential services such as defense, law enforcement, and maintaining infrastructure. Proponents of small government argue that a less intrusive government promotes individual freedom, personal responsibility, and economic growth by reducing regulations and lowering taxes.
The history of the small government ideology…

If you had more freedom to customize your education, what subjects would you add or drop from your curriculum?
If I had the freedom to customize my education I would add topics that pertain more to real life such as teaching children about the role of taxes and the aspects of loans and homes. I would drop classes that become less important as you get older since you have already learned more about them like extra science classes, although I do feel like most of the classes we take are important.
@9L96F29Independent2mos2MO
Kids barely pay attention in school as it is and “real life” classes that won’t be relevant to the students for years will just become another requirement that is done to check a box and forgotten by the time they need that info.
@9L7W74V2mos2MO
I would agree with adding classes on personal finance, however dropping classes like science and other STEM subjects should not be the answer. I would say dropping extracurricular classes like religion released time, extra PE, etc. should be more heavily considered.
@9L7HVJS2mos2MO
Math subjects over Algebra 1 shouldn't be required and chosen. At least they are where I am. Electives should not be required either, it's unreasonable for what is supposed to be choice decisions be required chosen decisions.
@9L7HRD82mos2MO
I would like to add curriculums that focus purely on certain careers are more skill-specific and involve hands-on learning.
There should be mandatory classes in highschool for sociology/statistics.

If entrepreneurs had more freedom from government restrictions, how would this affect your future job prospects?
@9KCQ2W5Independent3mos3MO
It would affect mine a good amount for my job that i want to do
@9KCY7KT3mos3MO
Government restrictions are probably there for a reason, and they should help unemployed job searching people, instead of hurt them
@9KCQ47N3mos3MO
entrepreneurs would be able to make a lot more money.
@9KCPJ6V3mos3MO
I think it would give America a little more of a chance to get people off the street.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How do you think a reduced foreign aid budget might affect global perception and relations?
@9KLVQ88Republican3mos3MO
Spending money first at home on our own would help steer any future issues to help anyone foreign or abroad
@9KLY83P3mos3MO
If you provide aid to a nation that is known to be of bad standing that could cut off ties with other nations that we do business with.
@9KLVBZXIndependent3mos3MO
Because it would affect the global perception and relations
@9KLTLQJ3mos3MO
It might make it look like we are being selfish but at the same time we need to focus son ourselves and help the citizens of the U.S
@9KLWMNV3mos3MO
The US has always been used as an international police force. This should be funded in some portion by those that receive aid. Global perception and relations will initially be hurt because many countries are use to receiving free assistance.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
How would your family adapt to a world where healthcare management is more in your hands?
@9LH34TW2mos2MO
It would be a lot more stressful and annoying to have to figure out which healthcare plan is going to screw us the least.
@9LH32CBWomen’s Equality2mos2MO
It would be amazing, more freely to take care of ourselves without the interference of the government. like with abortions
@9LH2WRHWomen’s Equality2mos2MO
I feel that the government should do more funding for families with this so we can have more freedom with our healthcare.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
Could minimizing mandatory curriculum standards provide more room for creativity in the classroom, or would it be chaotic?
@9KCPGFL3mos3MO
It could lead to both depending on where it is being held. It's better to have a looser curriculum for younger students and stricter ones for high school but still allow students to have their own creative freedom.
@9KHBBQ53mos3MO
Too much freedom will lead to a large disparity in outcome, leaving many students undisciplined and undereducated. Schools should not be focused solely on memorization and noncritical thinking, but too much flexibility will lead too many students wayward. There should be a balance of strict discipline and creative problem-solving, and this should apply at all levels. Children need to be disciplined, perhaps even more than the older students. If they're not, they'll be problems when they become those older students.
@9KFW6P33mos3MO
I do not see why these are mutually exclusive. I think it is very possible for an academic institution to foster both high curriculum standards and foster creativity.
I support a s testing ground to see what will and won't work.
@9KFFT3J3mos3MO
This is part of the movement that allows students to get out of working hard and finishing their requirements.
@9KCPGKL3mos3MO
It would be more chaotic because there should be things that all must learn
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How could your school be different if it wasn't subject to as many federal or state regulations?
@9HZJBGZRepublican5mos5MO
Better Bathrooms. Bigger portion sizes. Free parking.
@9HZJ87M5mos5MO
We should have the right to have a say in regulations that are put in place
@9HZJ7MVLibertarian5mos5MO
Education wouldn’t be as developed and students might not be able to attend base in discrimination.
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
Imagine paying less tax but receiving fewer public services; does that seem fair to you?
@9H784MX6mos6MO
Government exists to provide protection for its citizens against enemies both foreign and domestic. It exists to enact and enforce laws that are beneficial to the citizenry at large. The absolute minimum should start there. I suspect if Government was forced to spend based on those principles, we would be far better off for it.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How do you think a 'small government' approach might influence education and the opportunities it provides?
@9HGTNQZ6mos6MO
a small government could affect funding of the schools.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Do you think volunteer work could replace some government services in your community?
@9J59JKW 5mos5MO
Yes! There are so many ways to get involved and I'd love to see even more.
@9HTPC9BRepublican5mos5MO
yes i think if the community stepped in more then things could be a little bit diffrent
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How might your daily life be impacted if public services like garbage collection were privatized?
@9J4VJD85mos5MO
Government helps the people with lots of services that we take for granted, and without this help our society would look drastically different.
@9J4VC4NIndependent5mos5MO
I feel as if in this example, it wouldn’t necessarily affect me in any sense.
