Do you think the human race will ever reach a point where war is obsolete?
As much as I hope humanity will have the ability to pull together and avoid an eternity of war, people are flawed and they want different things, and they are just as territorial as any other animal. So, no, but I would hope for good, hard strives to attempt as much peace as possible.

Humans still retain their animalistic instincts, there is not much we can do as a species to rid ourselves of our territorial and agressive nature.
