Assuming that war will continue war probably wouldn't become less important but it could possible increase in importance depending on the situation.

No, I think its shown not only in the past but in the present too where countries try to overpower other. A lot of the conflict thats going on in the world is because countries want to expand and be better. Theyre looking to be a powerhouse and untouchable.
