I believe that art in its many forms, not just music, can be used to provide a platform for the artist to express their views and thanks to the first amendment when they can share their beliefs it invites others to and leads to a conversation about different topics.

Most rappers don't make music to bring people together. Record companies hire writers to glorify a dangerous movie like lifestyle to listeners in order to make a steady profit.
