It's important for everyone to know how assault weapons are acted upon in other cities or states for the entirety of America.

Colorado's move to ban assault weapons is just another example of the government overstepping its bounds and infringing on our Second Amendment rights.

It's about time states like Colorado lead the way in common-sense gun control; banning assault weapons is a step in the right direction for public safety.

Can a balance be struck between public safety and individual rights when it comes to gun ownership, and what would that look like to you?

 @Minarchist-08Libertarian from Washington answered…2wks2W

Individual rights and public safety are two sides of the same coin. If citizens own firearms, they can defend themselves, their family, and their private property far better.

Do you think banning 'assault weapons' would make public places feel safer, or does it infringe on people's rights too much?

 @9LK8T2F from North Carolina answered…2wks2W

I think in a way the public would be safer but you wouldn't have anything else to use for self defense if being attacked. So I think if the person has a history of using the weapon wrong they should not be allowed it.

 @9LK8PQVIndependent from North Carolina answered…2wks2W

i think that it should make them feel safer but also it is unconstitutional

You can't shoot if you don't have a gun. Let the police defend you instead.

 @9LK8KSBfrom Maine answered…2wks2W

We should ban weapons overall. No one should be able to buy a weapon. Retarded *** country
