Should critical race theory be taught in K-12 education?
Yes, and also add Intersectionality and the 1619 Project to the curriculum
As previously stated kids will recognize a difference just by sight, so it doesn't necessarily need to be a big topic or have its own unit but bringing it up as something that has been discriminated against in the past and still is would not be a bad idea. the including of the 1619 project would help to teach older kids that the world is not all sunshine and rainbows, people are not treated fairly, and that the USA is not as well advanced as people make it out to be. Not to mention it will help young adults understand the past better and have a better sense of perspective.
