Number one -- Alaska also has one of the highest rate of drunkenness in the nation, not to mention of substance abuse, which are two very important factors in contributing to firearm-related deaths. In addition, there are a lot of mental health problems up there because 90 days of the year the sun never rises and the 75 it never sets -- so people are very thrown off during the days of darkness. There are significant rates of depression because of the weather also. You wake up one day -- rain. Next day -- rain. Next day -- is that a hole in the clouds? Oh wait, it isn't. RAIN. Trust me, I know -- my family is from Alaska. So that's a significant factor and one that doesn't appear in your analysis. In addition, Louisiana has a higher poverty rate than other states and a lower standard of living as well, in addition to a lot of inner city and homeless people, which only contributes to those. So Louisiana and Alaska are both poor examples to include in an analysis such as this. I also notice that no proof of the reliability of this information has been provided, and plus naturally coming from Chat GPT there is no way to check the facts as the internet is abused in shocking ways.
Plus you ignore the States that have lower gun regulations AND lower firearm-related crimes such as Wyoming, Oklahoma, Utah, Idaho, and Florida -- and the list goes on. In addition Washington and California have EXTREMELY high crime rates and PUNITIVE gun laws including assault weapons ban. I apologize, but you're simply wrong.
