I think firearms are a large part of individual self-defense and hobbies; however, firearms are weapons meant for harm and should require restrictions.

I agree. Firearms are made to harm others, and while I have no issue with people owning them, the screening process and restrictions need to be adequate to ensure those that wish to do harm, or have shown violence in the past aren't allowed to own them legally.

I agree that there should be more gun control nationwide however shooting things (even if animals) should never be a hobby.

But why not? Hunting animals has been part of human nature since the beginning of time. Furthermore, people should have hobbies shooting things for it helps them in the potential case where they have to defend themselves.

Agreed. But I believe assault weapons should be banned/bought back, despite their recreational use and defense use. They cause far too much carnage in this country, at an unprecedented rate relative to other wealthy nations across the globe.

No, assault weapons should not be banned. The only reasons why we have mass shootings is because of irresponsible use by people who shouldn't have guns.
