Seperation of church and state was a founding principle of this country and the Catholic church is not the only religious insitution in the United States. They had no right to inform laws for a secular society.

The church in their own way are really good americans however they have to have a open mind to others opinions and i don't think they would have that for other people.

It’s just a really horrible idea for one religion to ever control a nation, religiously controlled states are the WORST, hence the British Empire, the Ottomans, and Saudi Arabia today.

no. Separation of church and state was a real thing and seriously taken into account when writing the constitution. It is set in place for a reason, as the founders of the constitution literally escaped Britain in order to get away from their forced establishment of religion.
