A “fetus” in a woman’s womb is undeniably a living human being; all living things are made up of cells, which is what a fetus is composed of, which means a fetus is a living thing, and every one of those cells contains human DNA unique to the fetus, which means it is a human being with its own body, distinct from the mother. If someone is attacking you, and you shot and killed them, should you be imprisoned for murder? Or do you understand that some rights, such as self-defense, are actually more important than the right to life?

As such, abortion is simply the right to bodily autonomy being more important than the right to life, for the same reason that other people cannot use your body, or force you to do a medical procedure, without your consent. No one, even a baby, has the right to use your body without your constant consent, even if it means they die.

Precisely, we should still add painkillers for the fetus if they can feel pain, but I trust the parent to have a good reason to do an abortion after 15-weeks, because if they had a one-night-stand they would’ve had an abortion immediately.
