I support the idea that diplomatic talks should happen to end the conflict, although the attacks by Hamas were started during a previous ceasefire. I don't think a permanent ceasefire will happen unless either Israel or Hamas wipes out the other.

Negotiations must occur and for that to happen a ceasefire will the necessary but tight restrictions to keep everyone safe is important
